Furry Friends

Furry Friends is dedicated to keeping pets in their homes in Ottawa County. We provide pet food assistance to families facing financial hardship, ensuring they don’t have to make the heartbreaking choice of surrendering their beloved companions. As a program of Macatawa Resource Center (a 501c3 organization), we are entirely volunteer-run. By helping families keep their pets, we’re not only strengthening the bond between people and animals, but also reducing the number of pets entering shelters. We are open for assistance from 9 am – 2 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and 9 am to 11 am Tuesday and Thursday.

FOOD PANTRY EXCHANGE

A Helping Hand: Our Contactless Food Pantry Exchange

We believe in the power of community support. That’s why we’ve established a contactless food pantry exchange, conveniently located towards the southern end of our building, just to the left of Door 2. This resource is available to anyone in our community who is experiencing food insecurity.

How it works:

  • Need Support? If you’re struggling to access nutritious food, please feel free to visit the pantry and take what you need, no questions asked.
  • Want to Give Back? If you have surplus non-perishable food items, we encourage you to donate them to the pantry. Your contribution can make a real difference in someone’s life.

By giving a little, we can grow a lot stronger as a community.
